August 2016

With the help of our generous donors we were able to purchase $115 worth of food for the food pantry and 23 fans for the elderly members of New Hope Christian Church in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Unfortunately some of the elderly members were reluctant to turn on their air conditioning units during these hot summer months because they did not want to increase their electric bill. The fans we donated use less energy and since they are less than 10 inches and portable they can take them from room to room.
A big thank you again to all of our donors. You help us create healthy environments across the globe!

The Nan Washington Global Wellness Foundation is pleased to announce that we had another very successful fundraiser!!!
With the help of donors we were able to purchase over $700 worth of sports equipment for the foster children at Hillside in Atlanta, GA. www.hside.org

We presented the equipment during the foster parent meeting and were able to educate the foster parents on the importance of healthy meals and how it impacts not only a child's physical health but mental health as well. The foster parents were taught the best diet to use with children who have ADHD and were encouraged to not only have the kids in their home to exercise but to also exercise with them. The foster parents actually got up at the end and showed us all, their hula hooping skills.

We were able to purchase a Wii mini, remotes, nanchuks, exercise games, soccer, football, volleyball, gloves, hula hoops and more.
We are blessing so many lives!!
Thank you for continuing to support The Nan Washington Global Wellness Foundation!
